This is the first in a series of weekly rooms (which I’ll keep doing until I get bored – or may chop and change with some weekly shops and other public buildings). This is sketch to final in a week, though in reality it was sketched in one go toward the start of the week and then not picked up again until the weekend! The idea is to do a sketch and then a little bit of the picture each evening (and/or morning – i.e. during ‘personal work time’), with finishing touches at the weekend. It’s Tuesday of next week already, and I haven’t done the sketch for this week yet, though, so we’ll see. It may well turn into sketch one evening in the week and work it up on the weekend.
I loved drawing it though (you can see process videos on my Instagram feed if that interests you). I did the whole thing in Procreate, but was meaning to just sketch in Procreate and work up in Photoshop or Fresco, so will try to do that for this week’s.
I really do love drawing rooms and especially filling them with stuff! Gallery walls, books, nick nacks, quirky bits of furniture... I do also try to sneak some of that into our house, too, but have to think of the rest of the family so can’t go quite as crazy as I’d like!
